Finding and Working With My Mentor
I was lucky to have an invaluable connection with my mentor, and communicating with him was very easy.
Drafting the Paper
Once I knew the content of what I needed to write, putting it into the language of the paper itself came, by and large, very easy to me.
Struggles
Time Management
Without a doubt, this was my biggest struggle. Balancing timeliness of my research work and my other classes was a challenge all year.
Collecting Data
I set an aggressive target for respondent count (nearly 1,000 altogether), and I lost a lot of time trying to reach that count.
Analyzing Data
Making sense of my data required a lot of manual spreadsheet work — and I faced several time-consuming setbacks.
